Gutturu Xeu
Gutturu Xeu is an amazing and vertical limestone canyon in the mountains of Iglesias.
In the canyon there are two Via Ferrata so the first challange is to choose which one to start!
The “original” part is in the right wall of the canyon. the via ferrata extends both vertically and horizontally and has exposed sections always protected by cables and steps. Once you have reached the peaks, you can choose whether to descend along the path or tackle a 35-meter abseil.
On the left wall there is the variant “la Torre” which is an easier vertical via ferrata with 3 abseils. the first 2 abseils are the most impressive and exposed 25 meters the first, 30 meters the second, 10 meters the third. The tower is more suitable for those who do not suffer from fear of emptiness!
